CO-Founder
Sneha Nag, the co-founder of Learning Lane, is transitioning from a long and successful teaching career to a new venture aimed at benefiting both children and young adults. Her goal is to guide the younger generation in choosing their future paths and developing their skills amidst the competitive environment they face today.
Through her keen observations and studies of children’s behavior in various situations, Ms. Sneha noticed that a significant number of students—often six to seven out of ten—tend to hold back due to a lack of confidence and shyness. This tendency, she realized, could hinder their future progress. Ms. Sneha prioritizes skills and creativity over traditional education systems. She believes that academic marks are merely numbers and certificates are just pieces of paper, neither of which define a person’s true abilities or credibility. To address this issue, she introduced public speaking and personality development courses at Learning Lane, focusing on communication skills to help children build confidence and develop their personalities, ensuring lifelong benefits.
Founder
Mr. Soumik Das, the director of Learning Lane, began his career as a salesperson in a renowned edtech company. During this time, he realized the transformative potential of integrating education with technology. Following this experience, he transitioned into the recruitment domain, where he witnessed firsthand the challenges young professionals face in establishing and sustaining their careers. Observing numerous layoffs and the volatile nature of the corporate world, Mr. Das was inspired to launch his own startup, Krazy Careers, in 2022. This venture focused on helping people pursue their dream jobs.
Recognizing the potential for a greater impact, Mr. Das later merged his vision with Ms. Sneha Nag’s mission at Learning Lane. Together, they aimed to create a more meaningful and practical educational experience for the youth. Mr. Das introduced courses such as digital marketing and cybersecurity, emphasizing hands-on experiences. These courses provide students with the opportunity to apply their acquired knowledge in real-life scenarios, gaining practical experience that is crucial in today’s job market.
Mr. Das firmly believes that this approach can help students shed the “fresher” label, a significant obstacle to securing their dream jobs. By equipping students with real-world skills and experiences, Learning Lane aims to bridge the gap between education and employment, fostering a generation of confident and capable professionals ready to thrive in the corporate world.
